A College Packing List of Essentials for Your Dorm Room

I've been a student for a while now. With that said, my living experience is huge. Dorm rooms, hostels, apartments alone and with roommates.
Time has finally come for me to share some of the knowledge I have gathered over the years.
My list is for a student on a budget, trust me you don't need much.

Here is a list of items that I take with me when I move in:

1. Bath and bedding

    - 2 bed sheets with pillowcases
    - 1 blanket
    - pillow (I always had one big and one small. If you ever want to work in bed this small one is so useful.)
    - 2 big and 1 small towel

2. Toiletry bag

    - 1 toiletry bag (It doesn't have to be huge, mine was a simple make-up bag.)
    - Toothbrush, toothpaste, dental floss
    - Shampoo and conditioner (We didn't have a shared bathroom so kept this in the shower. Or in the closet. Same with brush and hair dryer.)
    - Brush and hair dryer (If you need this.)
    - Deodorant
    - Q- tips
    - Nail clippers
    - Shaving kit

3. Clothes and laundry

Now this depends on where you live. My collage was an hour and a half from my home, so I didn't have to take all the clothes with me at once. And also it depends on the weather in the area. But there are still some things that I had no matter what.

    - Comfortable clothes ( You will spend a lot of time in your room, especially when it's exam season. You NEED comfy stuff.)
    - Sportswear (Not for what you think. When I had to study in the library leggings were just the right thing.)
    - Sunglasses
    - Watch (Working one. When you study you don't want to have your phone with you.)
    - Slippers

Because I live this close to the dorm, I would take my close home to wash tham. If you are not in that situation, learn how to do laundry.

4. School supplies

I never had a lot of things for taking notes. Most of my subjects have everything online. I had one notebook for all subjects.

    - Colord pencils (This was the best thing for me while taking notes and studying.)
    - Extension cord
    - Calculator (I study mechanical engineering, so I need this.)
    - Printer paper

5. Electronics

Get a laptop. I can't stress this enough. The laptop is a must-have for a student. You can take it wherever you need it and if you are on a budget you can take notes on it too.

6. Miscellaneous

    - Umbrella
    - Sudoku (I like to have a sudoku book with me all the time.)
    - Backpack
    - Kettle (This is one of those items that can do anything.)
    - Coffee mug
    - Utensils
    - Plastic plate (It can't break.)
    - Plastic cup

After making this list (and am sure some things are missing here) I can say only one thing. You don't need a lot of things to have a nice student life. And keep one thing in mind, after the year is done, you have to pack all that up to get it home (at least in my country). And packing takes a long time.

Here are some things that I used:

Most of my things are from home. What ever you can find at home don't buy. Save money.
